Andrew Gutauskas is a saxophonist, composer, arranger, and educator whose work moves fluidly across jazz, rock, film, and experimental music. Rooted in improvisation and shaped by wide-ranging influences, his projects reflect a deep curiosity and openness to sound.
He is the baritone saxophonist, arranger, and music director for Brass Against, whose work has appeared in The Matrix Resurrections. He is also a member of the contemporary chamber ensemble Few of a Kind and an active collaborator across large ensembles, chamber groups, and cross-genre projects.
As a composer, Andrew has written music for award-winning short films and feature productions, including Uppercut (2025), scored by Brass Against and starring Ving Rhames.
His solo recordings explore the expressive range of the baritone saxophone, from the jazz-rooted Look Up! (2017) and Look Out! (2020) to Awake (A Major Motion Soundtrack) (2026), an ambient project built from looping and evolving textures.
Andrew has served as adjunct faculty at The New School since 2020 and is a graduate of The Juilliard School.
